Sometimes a project comes along that captures your attention not only professionally, but also personally.
That was exactly the case with the Kolej Project. We were directly contacted by Agáta Hanychová, who invited us to collaborate on the renovation of an older apartment in Prague's Dejvice district — and we didn’t hesitate for a moment.
Student Housing with a Vision
The Kolej Project had a clear goal: to create modern, cozy housing intended for student rental. Agáta envisioned a space that would be not only functional and practical, but also stylish and welcoming. And that’s exactly the kind of project that instantly resonated with our team at Lumiinex.
When we received the initial materials and design proposals, we could immediately tell this was a well-thought-out concept with attention to detail and atmosphere. The project had soul — and for us, that’s always key.
Key Design Brands in the Interior
A major part of the interior concept was the careful selection of brands that elevated the entire space. For lighting, we chose products from TRIO Lighting, one of Europe’s largest lighting manufacturers. Their diverse portfolio allowed us to combine practical lighting for everyday use with designer pieces that give each room its own identity.
We also incorporated elements from Umage, a brand known for its elegant Scandinavian design. One of the standout pieces is the iconic Silvia light — also known as the “golden leaves” due to its pinecone-like shape. It adds a soft yet distinctive design element to the space. Umage products, with their natural materials and clean lines, bring a sense of lightness and harmony into the interior.
